Fabulous Fish

September 10th, 2026, marks an exciting new chapter for Fabulous Fish. Sandra’s daughter, Laura, brought rainbow trout from Manitoulin Island beginning in 2012 at the Paisley Farmers’ Market as a summer company project. Sandra’s father has worked with Coldwater Fisheries since 1984, so it’s a family tradition.
We quickly added whitefish to the list as it was also available from Manitoulin sometimes. Sandra did home deliveries in the winters from 2012 to 2022. Eventually, we added pickerel, salmon, smoked fish and more to the menu. This required more driving. The fish became always available at Orchard’s Landing Paisley beginning in 2022, however, opening the full-time market reduced the time we had to source our fish leaving our customers hungry. The Hanover company that is the hatchery for Coldwater Fisheries (Manitoulin) has expanded and improved. For several years now, they have been providing mature fish out of Hanover. I did try using them as my source years ago, but at that time, they were not vac packing yet and didn’t have the selection my customers wanted. But now they do.

After years of juggling trips and longer waits between orders, we’ve made things simpler and more dependable. Sept 10, 2026, we have partnered with Cedar Hill Farms in Hanover, the hatchery where our trout begins and now ends, which means a more direct, reliable supply. Beginning now, our freezers at Orchard’s Landing Paisley will be stocked the first week of every month with locally grown fish. Special requests like fresh salmon can be pre-ordered for that same window, and home delivery is still available.

Everything just got simpler, and this fish IS STILL fabulous!
