Paisley’s Local Market

If you’re new to the village or visiting beautiful Paisley, Ontario, you’ll want to visit Orchard’s Landing Paisley. OLP is more than a market—it’s a story rooted in community.

The journey began in 2003, when David Weber launched a small farmers market on the Sautee’s lot at the north end of the village.

In 2006, Sandra Blodgett took the lead as the community market transitioned onto municipal land, thanks to the Municipality of Arran-Elderslie. For 12 years, a lively four-hour Saturday market flourished around the arena, becoming a cherished weekly tradition.

In 2012, the vision expanded indoors with the Paisley Christmas Market, bringing warmth and local shopping to the winter season. Though the outdoor summer farmers market paused in 2018, the Paisley Christmas Market has continued until 2025, keeping the market spirit alive.

A turning point came on May 5, 2022, when an AE municipal councillor called Sandra with news of a permanent indoor space. By June 23, the former acupuncture clinic reopened as Orchard’s Landing Paisley—named to honour Simon Orchard, Paisley’s first settler, and the idea of harvest “landing” in one place.

Today, the market offers local meat, fresh vegetables and fruit, dairy, baking, gourmet mushrooms, sauces, soups, and more. With three unique rooms—including the newly transformed Tomboi2 ice cream space—there’s something for everyone.

Sandra is celebrating 20 years of creating markets in 2026.

Orchard’s Landing Paisley continues to grow and evolve, thanks to the many people in this community. Every contribution has made a difference. Thank you.
